Engineering is a topic that we started in 7th grade, although I call it Elective. These two classes usually are one, as elective isn't long enough for a whole year, but the two make a good combination. I like both topics, but the item that I think shows my best work is the engineering Disaster Proof Housing Model. The project was to make a model that was able to survive a simulated natural disaster. In our model, we designed it to survive against floods, with a 20 foot tall stilt house that has a slanted roof for the rain to fall off so that the pressure is lifted from the roof.

I think that this shows my best work because it is a model that I spent a lot of time on with the decorations and everything, and the fact that the entire house was made of wood really added to the house's defense against the water. This project was with 3 other people, and I think that they are all just as proud as I am with this model.
