This year, I am starting my third year at AdVENTURE. I have made many friends from every grade, and I have loved this school so far. I have joined the student council, and have spoken for my class. I heard from my mom that the third is the best, whether it is years you've been in something, or third try, but I feel as if it is true. The third year I am here I have gotten my first highest honor, and have felt more at home. I like the classes too, and it is fun to go to them sometimes (but not all the time!).

Adventure, to me, means to be a fast learner, being able to comprehend items quickly and to be flexible with answers. If you didn't understand, ask and learn that way. This program is very flexible with how you learn because they have additional teacher students who can help with you if you are stuck, and it is usually something that you can easily learn.

Another aspect of Adventure is to be able to work independently as well as in a group. There are a lot of group projects that you nned to accomplish, and most of the time, it is in a way so that you need your other teammates to help complete the project. Whether it is a presentation, video, or just talking. Projects are a big part of Adventure. They have at least one for every class each term, and some are hard, but overall, it is fun to do. Also, you generally stay with the same class from fifth to eighth grade, so you can make some close friends for the years instead of wondering who you'll be with next year.

Adventure has some parts that, in seventh and eighth grade, tie in with Herman. Only the Adventure middle schoolers are able to go back and forth between the two campuses, and it seems like a good privilege. This kind of movement allows you to meet with other people from Herman, and I now have a lot of friends from the Herman side that I otherwise wouldn't have.

Adventure is a very good program for fast learners, and it is very popular. It is hard to get in because there are so many people in the waiting line, but if you get in, you are lucky. I am sad that this program doesn't continue throughout high school, but that is okay.
